Medical Mission Project 2006
HOSPITAL: East Visayas Regional Medical Center
(EVRMC) in Tacloban City.
A TOTAL OF 60 VOLUNTEERS: 45 coming from the east
coast; 13 coming from the An Taclobanon Association of
So. California.
Services: OB, Thyroidectomy and general surgery at the
EVRMC, Opthalmology and general medicine and
outpatient services at EVMRC.
An Taclobanon’s role in this joint project with APMAM is
to provide the Medical Supplies needed by the surgical
teams; for the volunteers to help in the post operative
care of the patients, and dispensing prescribed
medicines. The Association sent some 19 balikbayan
boxes of assorted medical supplies.
